Hubby's surgery went well. They were able to remove the metal and as of right now none of his vision is messed up. Below is a picture right after they did the surgery. The next day and even through today it looks really bad because it is swollen more and the bruising has increased a lot. We expected this because we were told about it, but it always seems worse than you expect.
The incision that they had to make was larger than originally set out to be, but at least it is fixed. Now he is scheduled for his MRI to check out this neck/arm/back and see if he needs surgery on that.

That's quite an incision line! I imagine it would be pretty bruised and swollen the next day. So glad that everything is going to be okay!
